SPPCS- Signing Procurement Contract with Japanese for Police vehicle

Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services conducted its signing ceremony for the Grant Contract for procurement of Police Vehicles and Construction of Hall project courtesy of the Government of Japan through the Japanese Embassy- the Ambassador, His Excellency Keisuke Senta and delegates.

It is noted the first project is valued at 353,988 US Dollars for Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services to upgrade the fleet through a provision of 10 new Toyota Land Cruisers which will go into strengthening “SPPCS’s daily operations in protecting the public against crime and threats”
The second project is valued at 312,937 US Dollars which will be allocated for Prisons and Corrections Services to construct a new prison hall with a stage, kitchen, storage and 4 toilets and 4 shower rooms. This will also include a 5,000 litre water tank for Vaiaata Prison in Savai’i. It will also provide 2 new Toyota Land Cruisers, 1 Toyota 30 Seat Coaster and 1 Isuzu Cargo Truck.
Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services Minister Faualo Harry Schuster on behalf of the government of Samoa and SPPCS extended a warm gratitude and appreciation for the generous assistance.
