Thursday, 7 June 2024 – The Samoa Police Royal Band took center stage, leading a vibrant marching parade to mark the 160th anniversary of the Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary (SMSM Sisters). The celebration saw enthusiastic participation from St. Mary’s Savalalo, St. Mary’s College, and alumni of St. Mary’s.
In addition to the musical spectacle, the official raising of the flag was a significant highlight of the event. Ensuring the smooth flow of the parade and traffic, officers from the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) were on active duty. The SPPCS Bike Unit played a crucial role, efficiently clearing the roads and maintaining traffic flow, ensuring a seamless and memorable celebration.
