POLICE SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTED SEARCH WARRANT FOR ILLICIT NARCOTICS

Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (‘SPPCS’) successfully executed a Search Warrant for Narcotics on Saturday 6th May 2023 at Toamua-uta
This police operation was led by the Criminal Investigation Division and Tactical Operation section.
The raid resulted in the seizure of illicit narcotics (suspected methamphetamine, marijuana), firearms and electronic devices. Furthermore, five (5) individuals (3 males and two females) were arrested and charged accordingly. The five defendants have been remanded into custody until the 22nd of May 2023 for mention.
This successful operation is a result of the tireless efforts of the police, and their continued commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
SPPCS would like to remind the public that drug related offences is a serious crime with severe health consequences. Drug use affects the safety net family provides to the vulnerable especially young children. SPPCS will continue to take a proactive approach in combating drug-related activities in Samoa.
