Strengthening Our Justice System Through Partnership
A joint meeting between the Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections and the Ministry of Justice and Courts Administration was held today at Police Headquarters.
Led by Commissioner of Police, Afioga Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, and Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of the Courts, Afioga Papalii John Taimalelagi Afele, the meeting brought together senior management from both ministries.
Discussions focused on:
Strengthening coordination between Police and the Courts
Addressing ongoing issues relating to suspects, defendants, and prisoners
Enhancing service delivery to the Judiciary and the public
Building a more effective and unified justice system for Samoa
As part of this collaboration, monthly meetings will be held to support ongoing dialogue and joint efforts to improve justice outcomes for all.
