SPPCS WELCOMES 50 NEW RECRUIT CANDIDATES FOR 2025 TRAINING
The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) officially welcomed 50 new recruitment candidates for this year’s police recruit training program on the morning of Tuesday, 11 March 2025.
The SPPCS Executive and Senior Management led the welcoming ceremony, which commenced with a traditional ava ceremony, signifying respect and acceptance into the law enforcement family.
This cultural tradition highlights the discipline, service, and commitment expected from those entering the force.
Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo addressed the new recruits, emphasizing the importance of integrity, professionalism, and dedication. He reminded them of the responsibilities that come with serving and protecting Samoa, encouraging them to approach their training with determination and resilience.
The 17-week training program will be conducted at the Samoa Police Training Academy in Tafaigata. It is designed to equip recruits with essential policing skills, legal knowledge, and practical experience necessary for effective law enforcement. The rigorous curriculum will challenge them physically and mentally, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the profession.
