SPPCS Hosts Thanksgiving Service to Celebrate Achievements and Honor Service in 2024
On Friday, 13 December 2024, the Samoa Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services (SPPCS) held its annual Thanksgiving Service to conclude the year’s work and reflect on its achievements. The event, held at the Samoa Police Training Academy, brought together members of the SPPCS, partners, and special guests to celebrate a year of progress, dedication, and service.
The Thanksgiving Service served as a tribute to the significant milestones achieved by the SPPCS in 2024. It was also an occasion to honor the memory of those who served in the ministry and are no longer with us and to recognize the contributions of officers who retired this year.
Key highlights of the year included the successful execution of the CHOGM operation in October, which showcased Samoa’s capability to host a high-profile international event. This achievement was made possible through the tireless efforts of SPPCS members and the strong collaboration with local and international partners.
The Honorable Minister of Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services, Faualo Harry Schuster, extended his gratitude to Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, the SPPCS, and all stakeholders for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout the year.
Commissioner Auapa’au expressed appreciation to all SPPCS officers, members, and partners for their dedication and hard work. He also acknowledged the retirees for their years of service and contributions to the organization.
As part of the celebration, awards were presented to individuals who demonstrated exceptional performance and commitment in their roles during 2024. These awards highlighted the dedication and excellence of SPPCS personnel in carrying out their duties.
The Thanksgiving Service reflected on the year’s successes, honored those who have passed, celebrated the retirees, and recognized the collective effort of the SPPCS in ensuring the safety and security of Samoa.
The SPPCS remains committed to its mission of serving the people of Samoa with integrity, dedication, and professionalism as it looks ahead to another year of service.
