SPPCS Engages Business Owners on Police Role in JACE and the Alcohol Control Act 2020

Today, Thursday, 19/06/25, the SPPCS had the opportunity to conduct a presentation for an audience of both foreign business owners and local entrepreneurs. The focus was on the Role of Police in relation to the JACE and the Alcohol Control Act 2020
Key points discussed included:
✅ Ensuring the security and safety of Liquor Inspectors and JACE members during inspections and investigations.
✅ Investigating any criminal matters referred by JACE and its members concerning business licenses.
✅ The authority to arrest individuals for obstruction during inspections.
✅ Police powers to close nightclubs, billiard rooms, and enforce any liquor bans.
Additionally, we showcased an Awareness Program Implement a Police Booth Display to enhance community engagement and foster collaboration with other government ministries.
