Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services welcomes Fifty-four (54), New Police Recruit Officers Class of 2023 with an ‘Ava Ceremony.

Welcoming 54 new recruits to the Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services was conducted today through a traditional ‘ava ceremony. This is the second batch of the Basic Recruit Course 2023.
Deputy Commissioner Leiataua Samuelu Afamasaga, Deputy Commissioner Lafaitele Herbert Aati and the Executive Management were present at the event, along with Police Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo.
They were reminded of the importance of their efforts by Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo;
“As you enter the ministry and pledge your life and commitment to serve as a member of SPPCS, you are reminded to do it with honour and serve with undenying faithfulness to God”, said Auapa’au.
A reflection of the oath and commitment Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services has for the community and Samoa, which they hope to instill in these men and women.
The recruit comprises 18 males with 36 females.
We wish all the 54 recruits all the best with training and assessments over the next 17 weeks.
