Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services officially welcomed the new recruits with an Ava ceremony.

Today, on February 9th, 2024, an Ava ceremony took place at the Training Unit premises in Matautu, marking the official induction of 40 new recruits for this year. Among them, 21 are female and 19 are male.
The ceremony was attended by SPPCS Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, Executives, and Senior Management, emphasizing the significance of Samoan culture within the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services.
The 2024 recruit class will undergo a 17-week training program, after which they will be sworn in as new Constables upon successful completion.
The SPPCS extends their best wishes to the recruits for their training endeavors.
