Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services kick-started the First Close Personal Protections Foundations course of 2024 with twenty-one (21) Police officers.

Early this morning, Monday, 19th February, 2024, Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services officially opened its Close Personal Protections (CPP) foundations course of 2024 at the Maritime Unit at Matautu-Tai with twenty-one officers.
The Close Personal Protections training commenced with a prayer led by Senior Sergeant Fa’alogo Kapeli Fa’alogo of the Training Unit to initiate the training.
Leading the two-week (2) training will be Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services’ very own qualified trainer, Senior Sergeant Junior Afereti, and his team.
The twenty-one police officers will undergo training in both theoretical and practical aspects of the course to ensure they are fully prepared for the upcoming CHOGM conference this year.
Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services’ Close Personal Protections course is a training program to equip officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the safety of the leaders attending the CHOGM and other government members.
