The Samoa–Nevada Best Warrior Competition Familiarization SMEE #1 Program officially concluded on Friday, 28 February 2026, at the Tafaigata Police Academy, marking an important milestone in strengthening professional ties and operational readiness between Samoa and its international partners.
The week-long training provided invaluable exposure to international best practices, leadership development, and high-performance standards inspired by the Best Warrior Competition framework. Focused on discipline, teamwork, physical endurance, tactical awareness, and decision-making under pressure — all critical skills that directly enhance frontline policing and community safety.
The collaboration between the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services and the Nevada National Guard reflect a shared commitment to professional excellence and capacity building. Through practical demonstrations, scenario-based exercises, and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants gained deeper insight into leadership resilience, ethical conduct, and operational preparedness.
This training goes beyond preparation. It reinforces the core values of integrity, service, and courage, while building officers’ confidence to respond effectively to emerging security challenges. The familiarization program also lays the groundwork for future participation in international military and law enforcement competitions, further elevating Samoa’s presence on the global stage.
The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services extends its sincere gratitude to key partners who made this program possible, including the Nevada National Guard, the US Embassy Apia, Samoa, and all supporting agencies involved in logistics, coordination, and facilitation. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth delivery of the program and the safety and welfare of all participants.
The closing of the Samoa–Nevada Best Warrior Competition Familiarization SMEE #1 Program is not the end, but rather a steppingstone toward continued growth, stronger partnerships, and a safer Samoa.
