INVESTIGATION INTO VIRAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIDEO

The Samoa Police, Prisons and Correction Services (SPPCS) is aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media showing a woman being physically assaulted.

We wish to inform the public that the matter has been reported to Police, and the victim seen in the video is now safely sheltered under police care. Officers are currently working to locate those involved as part of the ongoing investigation.

SPPCS strongly condemns all forms of violence and abuse, especially domestic violence, which have no place in our families or communities.

We also urge members of the public to refrain from sharing or reposting the video out of respect for the victim and to avoid interfering with the ongoing investigation.
