Police Remembrance Day 2025

Today, we gathered in a solemn ceremony to commemorate Police Remembrance Day – a day dedicated to honoring all police officers who have served with courage, dignity, and integrity, and to remember those we have lost.
As the Commissioner reminded us in his speech:
“Behind every badge was a person – someone’s son or daughter, partner, parent, colleague, and friend. These officers faced risks every day most of us could never imagine, and they did so with courage, dignity, integrity, and a sense of duty that continues to inspire us all.”
This year, we also pay tribute to our own fallen colleagues who have passed away in the past 12 months:
Late Cpl. Sa Hitilepi
Late Const. Lui Steven Sipiliano
Late Const. Rex Memea
Late Cpl. Kid Roache
Late Sgt. Malofou Aiago
Late Sgt. Malo Faamau
Their sacrifice, dedication, and service to Samoa will never be forgotten. Their legacy lives on in the work we continue to do each day – to uphold the law, preserve peace, and protect our communities.
💙 On this day, we stand united in remembrance and gratitude – for the lives of our fallen heroes, for their families who shared them with us, and for every officer who continues to wear the uniform with honor.
LEST WE FORGET.
📌 Today we also celebrated the 17 years of service of the Recruitment/Class of 2008 – a proud mileston
