Police Recruits Take Oath of Office for 2026

Afioga Acting Commissioner Papalii Eneliko Taeu, of the Samoa Police Prison and Correction Services presented the Samoa Police New Recruits 2026 before His Honor; Judge Leota Matautia Raymond Schuster.
The police new intakes consists of 40 males and 11 females took their Oath of Office on Tuesday 19th May 2026, in the District Court of Samoa after 17 weeks of trainings.
The swearing-in ceremony signifies the beginning of the recruit’s journey as a law enforcer, entrusted with the responsibility to uphold justice, protect communities and serve Samoa with integrity and dedication.
Their oath taken before the Court is more than a formal requirement but a pledge of loyalty to the Constitution and the laws of Samoa. It reflects the recruit’s commitment to safeguarding peace and security, while honoring the trust placed in them by the people of Samoa.
The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services acknowledges the courage and determination required to step into this calling. Each new officer strengthens the collective capacity of SPPCS to maintain public safety, respond to challenges and build stronger partnerships with the community.
As this recruit begins their career, SPPCS extends its congratulations and encouragement, affirming that the path of service is one of sacrifice, discipline and pride in wearing the uniform.
