International Teams Arrive to Support Samoa Police for CHOGM 2024

14 October 2024, Apia – Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) is pleased to announce the arrival of 42 international personnel who will assist during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024. This diverse group includes 35 members from the Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation (PCLEC), 4 PPSG representatives from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), and 3 PPSG members from Fiji.

These teams are comprised of law enforcement personnel as well as specialists from different fields, all working together to enhance the overall security and operations during CHOGM. The collaboration showcases the strong regional partnerships that support Samoa in ensuring a smooth and secure event. Their combined expertise will bolster SPPCS efforts across various roles, including public safety, logistics, and crowd management.
