The Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services wishes to advise members of the public who have not renew their firearms license that:

Pursuant to the Arms Ordinance 1960 section 9 it is mandatory that firearms license are to be renewed annually. The Tactical Unit will collect all firearms from individuals who have not renew their license.

It is an offence for anyone to be in possession of an unregistered firearm. The Samoa Police will pursue the full arms of the law if anyone fails to adhere to the legal requirements of the Arms Ordinance 1960.
