Samoa Police, Prisons & Correction Services (SPPCS) is proud to be represented at the Regional Gender in Policing Training in Denarau, Fiji. Our very own ACEO Human Resources Galuvao Naomi Claire Viliamu and ACEO Finance Leatigaga Myra Ulufale Tevaga — both active members of the Samoa Police Women’s Advisory Network — are in attendance, alongside Supt Aldora Mamaia representing the PICP Secretariat.
This training, supported by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and facilitated by the Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation (PCLEC), brings together women officers from across the Pacific. It’s a chance to share experiences, strengthen networks, and discuss how we can break down barriers and empower women in policing.
The program was officially opened this morning (Monday 22nd September 2025) by Fiji’s Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and AFP’s Commander Pacific, Acting Assistant Commissioner Phillipa Connell, who both emphasised the importance of changing the conversation about gender in policing and building supportive environments for women in law enforcement.
We are proud to see Samoa’s leadership and voice represented in these important regional discussions!
