GOODBYE MY FELENI & FAREWELL – SUPT EVANS !
Last weekend Samoa Australia Police Partnership (SAPP) Commander, AFP Superintendent Evans and his family returned back to Australia after four years in Samoa. SAPP is a partnership between the Samoa Police and Australia Federal Police (‘AFP’) a joint effort to develop policing in Samoa.
Police advisors from the AFP are seconded to Samoa to work collaboratively with the Commissioner and Executive on ways to ensure development of the Samoa Police Service. SAPP plays a critical role in the upskilling of staff and overall development of Samoa Police, Prisons and Correction Services (‘SPPCS’).
SPPCS Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo and Executive farewell Supt Evans and acknowledge his contribution through a number of initiatives implemented during his tenure in Samoa. Supt
Evans was also acknowledge for his role in facilitating the Australian Federal Police and other regional police support to Samoa during CHOGM 2024.
SPPCS values the ongoing presences of advisors in Samoa to assist with its development.
SPPCS wishes Supt Evans the best of luck with his new role back in Australia and also working collaboratively with him through regional initiatives in the near future.
