Community Awareness: Cyber Safety and Drug Prevention

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
The Police Community Policing team conducted an important awareness program at EFKS Apolima-Uta, focusing on two critical issues: Cyber Safety and Drug Awareness.
In today’s digital age, many young people are increasingly reliant on social media platforms like Facebook, PUBG and TikTok, often at the expense of their studies. While technology can be a valuable tool, it’s essential for both youth and parents to understand its potential risks. Parents may use devices to keep their children entertained, but this can inadvertently place significant responsibility in the hands of young users.
Key Takeaways from the Program:
🔹 Understanding Drug Effects: We discussed the impact of drug use on youth and the importance of making informed choices.
🔹 Internet Safety Tips: We shared strategies for safe internet usage, encouraging young people to be mindful of their online activities.
🔹 Saying No to Drugs: Empowering our youth to make positive choices and resist peer pressure is crucial.
Tupulaga talavou, ia avea oe ma faata’imuaga o mea lelei ae le’o le malaia. O le manuia o taeao o lo’o taoto i lau faaiuga fai i le taimi nei. Filifili faatasi ma le Alii 🙏
Let’s work together to ensure our youth are safe, informed, and focused on their futures!
Lord Bless!
