Boosting Samoa Police’s Digital Forensic Power

Boosting Samoa Police’s Digital Forensic Power
Last week, the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services proudly received a high-spec computer desktop and laptop, funded through the Samoa Australia Police Partnership (SAPP) and handed over by Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) Simon Penny to Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo.
These powerful tools will support our Digital Forensic Unit — the team that works behind the scenes to uncover and preserve vital electronic evidence in criminal investigations. From analysing mobile phones and computers to retrieving deleted files and reviewing CCTV footage, digital forensics is key in solving modern crimes.
Commissioner Auapaau thanked SAPP and SRO Simon for this important contribution, noting it will help our police keep pace with evolving technology and strengthen our fight against cyber-related and technology-assisted crimes.
Together for a Safer Samoa.
