Gun Amnesty Progress

    • Today, Friday 23 October 2020, the Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections held a press conference to announce the progress of the first three weeks since the Gun Amnesty began.
      The aim of the program is to reduce the number of illicit weapons and unregistered firearms by allowing people to hand them over without fear of prosecution, as well as taking them off the hands of criminals who might use them to endanger the lives of innocent people.
      Among the surrendered items a total of 56 Guns – 41 rifles, 15 pistols, and a variety of ammunition.
