AVA CEREMONY TO WELCOME SAMOA POLICE SERVICE NEW RECRUITS

Samoa Police Service (‘SPS’) on Wednesday 15 January 2020 welcomes 46 new recruits in the Ava of Feiloaiga held at SPS headquarters. Of the 46 personnel, 28 are females and 18 are males between the ages of 22 years to 45 years. This recruiting class also includes officers who have joined SPS as part of the LTA traffic division transition.

Commissioner of Police, Fuiavailili Egon Keil, and Executive joined members of the Senior Management in the Ava ceremony. The ava signifies the importance of the Samoan culture to the Samoa Police Service.

The 2020 recruit class will be trained for 17 weeks and upon successfully completing the course they will then be sworn in as new Constables. SPS welcomes the Recruit Class of 2020 and wishes them all the best with trainings.
