UNITED NATIONS AFRICAN MISSION IN DARFUR(UNAMID)

On Friday 31st May 2019, Commissioner Fuiavailiili and his Executive bid farewell to four (4) officers deployed for Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur Africa. The contingent of four, which included one female officer left Samoa in the early hours of Saturday 1st June 2019. These officers will be on tenure with the United Nations Peacekeeping for one year.

Peacekeeping deployment is consider vital and it is part of the Samoa’s Government commitment to the United Nations since 1999. Samoa’s peacekeeping contribution is highly recommended at the International arena given the unique Pacific communal approach our officers has to offer.

The Samoa Police Service wishes our men and women serving in the United Nation all the best as proud flag bearers of our people and our country.
