OFFICIAL HANDOVER OF 2 BUSES AND 10 MOTORCYCLES

Samoa Police Service (SPS) today received two coaster buses and 10 motorcycles funded by the Government of Australia through the Australian Federal Police and Samoa Australia Police Partnership project.

The Minister of Finance Afioga Sili Epa Tuioti acknowledged with great appreciation the ongoing support of the Australian government to enhance and strengthen the Samoa Police Service noting SPS preparations for the XVI Pacific Games. The cost of the two buses and 10 motorcycles is valued at SAT $400,000.00

Her Excellency Sarah Moriarty stated that the 2 buses and 10 motorcycles have arrived at a very exciting time with the Pacific Games just 13 days away. She also stated that these buses will contribute to the transportation of officers to and from the games venues, and the motorcycles will give traffic officers the ability to navigate the traffic during traffic congestion times.

The One in Spirit motto for the XVI Pacific Games enlightens the bond the AFP and SPS have in delivering safety, security for Samoa and the Pacific.
