The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services proudly celebrated the graduation of 51 new police recruits after successfully completing 17 weeks of intensive training at the Samoa Police Training Academy, Tafaigata.
The recruits underwent rigorous training designed to prepare them for the demands of modern policing. Over the course of 17 weeks, they were equipped with essential skills in law enforcement, discipline and community service to serve and protect the people of Samoa.
Families and loved ones gathered at the ceremony to congratulate the graduates, sharing in the pride and joy of their achievement. Their presence highlighted the strong support system behind every officer, reminding recruits that their service is not only to the nation but also to the communities they call home.
Hon. Afioga La’aulialemalietoa Polataivao Fosi Schmidt delivered an inspiring message to the graduates, urging them to place their faith in the Lord as they embark on their policing journey. He encouraged them to be like the 300 of Gideon’s army, who lapped water with their hands to their mouths; symbolizing vigilance, humility and readiness.
In his closing remarks, Afioga La’aulialemalietoa congratulated the graduates and reminded them that their role is not only about enforcing the law but also about upholding integrity, serving with compassion and protecting the values of Samoa.
