Prime Minister of Kingdom of Tonga Arrives in Samoa for 64th Independence Day Celebrations
The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Hon. Lord Fakafanua and Lady Fane Fakafanua arrived at Faleolo International Airport ahead of the 64th Independence Day celebrations of the Independent State of Samoa.
Upon arrival, the Tongan Prime Minister was formally received with a ceremonial guard of honour, organized by Samoa’s Royal Guard, reflecting the strong ties and mutual respect shared between the two Pacific nations.
The presence of the Tongan leader highlights the close friendship and regional solidarity between Samoa and the Kingdom of Tonga.
The Independence Day celebrations are expected to bring together government leaders, dignitaries and members of the public in honour of Samoa’s history, achievements and national identity.
The ceremonial welcome at Faleolo International Airport set a dignified tone for the occasion, showcasing Samoa’s tradition of hospitality and respect for visiting leaders.
