ANZAC Day 2026

ANZAC Day 2026
Every year at the break of dawn on 25th of April, we come to remember the sacrifices made by the hundreds and thousands of New Zealanders, Australians and nationals of Pacific Island countries including Samoa who fought in World War 1, World War II and other subsequent conflicts including Peace Keeping Missions around the world.
This service was held in front of the Apia Town Clock memorial and wreaths were laid by Afioga I le Ao Mamalu o le Malo Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, Councils of Deputies and Diplomatic Corps.
This morning as guardians of law and order, the SPPCS stand in solemn remembrance alongside our ANZAC allies. As we pay tribute to the ANZAC legacy, let us also reaffirm our commitment to uphold the principle of justice, equality and freedom for which they fought.
May we draw inspiration from their courage and resilience as we strive to build a better and peaceful world for future generations.
Lest we forget the sacrifice of the past but today and every day, we continuously salute the ANZAC spirit and all those who have served in the defense of freedom and democracy.
May the comrades continue to rest – Lest we forget.
