The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services proudly acknowledges Corporal Tyrone Mamaia for his outstanding achievements during the 7-week Regional Drill and Physical Training Course, which concluded on Friday, 14th March 2025.
Corporal Mamaia represented Samoa with excellence and determination, earning the following accolades:
🏆 2nd Runner-Up – Fittest Male Officer
🏋️ Certified Weightlifting Fiji Club Coach – Level 1
This intensive course, delivered through the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police – Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation (PCLEC), brought together law enforcement officers from across the Pacific to strengthen their skills as drill and physical training instructors.
Supported by the Australian Federal Police, the program emphasized the importance of discipline, fitness, and overall officer well-being- key factors in ensuring a resilient and effective police force.
The Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, highlighted the critical role of physical fitness in policing, emphasizing the need to prioritize officer health and readiness.
