SPPCS Complete Chinese Language Course and Pass HSK1 Exam
The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) proudly announces the successful completion of the Chinese Language Course by 21 of its officers. The course was conducted over six months, from February to July 2024, through a partnership between SPPCS and the Chinese Embassy.
This initiative provided the officers with valuable language skills, enhancing their communication abilities in various professional scenarios. As part of the program, nine officers also registered for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK1) Exam, facilitated by the Confucius Institute at the National University of Samoa (NUS). The HSK1 Exam is an internationally recognized Chinese proficiency test.
All nine officers who sat the test passed successfully, earning HSK1 Certificates alongside NUS and Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) students who also participated.
The SPPCS extends its gratitude to the Chinese Embassy and the Confucius Institute at NUS for their continued support and commitment to building capacity within the force. This achievement marks a significant milestone in strengthening international relations and enhancing the professional skills of SPPCS officers.
