General Policing Unit Receives CHOGM Certificates

The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) General Policing (GP) Unit held a special ceremony earlier this morning to officially present certificates of appreciation to its officers in recognition of their dedication and service during the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

The program commenced with a spiritual devotion led by Senior Sergeant Sola Sa’u, acknowledging the collective efforts of the GP Unit and emphasizing the importance of service with integrity and commitment.

Assistant Commissioner Papali’i Efo Peika Moalele addressed the officers, offering words of encouragement and acknowledging their exceptional contributions not only during the high-level CHOGM event but also throughout the year. The GP officers were commended for their unwavering dedication to maintaining public safety, ensuring effective policing operations, and fostering trust within the community.
