INSPECTOR STEVEN CLARKE FAREWELL SPPCS AFTER CONTRIBUTING TO CHOGM PREPARATIONS
The Samoa Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services (SPPCS) acknowledges the valuable contribution of Inspector Steven Clarke of the New Zealand Police, who has completed his one-year tenure supporting the CHOGM Planning Team (CPT) in Samoa. Inspector Clarke arrived in September 2023 as part of the collaboration between the SPPCS and New Zealand Police, providing expertise and guidance for the planning and preparation of the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
Under his dedicated support, the CPT has achieved significant progress in ensuring that all necessary logistics, security arrangements, and operational plans align with international standards. His contribution has strengthened the capability and readiness of SPPCS to host this high-profile event, showcasing Samoa on the global stage.
Deputy Commissioner Papali’i Monalisa Tia’i-Keti, on behalf of Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, the CHOGM Planning Team, and the SPPCS, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Inspector
Clarke for his unwavering commitment and professional expertise. In a small ceremony to mark his departure, DC Papali’i presented Inspector Clarke with a token of appreciation as a gesture of thanks for his exceptional work and contributions to the SPPCS.
The SPPCS acknowledges and appreciates the continued partnership with the New Zealand Police, which underscores the shared commitment to fostering regional collaboration and enhancing law enforcement capabilities.
