Arrival of Pacific Police Support Group to Assist Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services for CHOGM
Tuesday, 15 October 2024 – In the early hours of this morning, the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) warmly welcomed 27 members of the Pacific Police Support Group (PPSG) to Samoa. The officers, hailing from the Australian Federal Police Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary Vanuatu Police Force , Nauru Police Force and the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, arrived to lend their support for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The Pacific Police Support Group was officially welcomed at the Faleolo International Airport by SPPCS Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo and members of the Executive, marking a significant moment of regional cooperation. The support from our Pacific partners will be invaluable as Samoa prepares for next week’s CHOGM.
