SPPCS Participates in Stakeholder Consultation on the Review of the Disaster and Emergency Management Act 2007

The Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections was represented by Inspector Junior Tofilau at the Stakeholder Consultation on the Review of the Disaster and Emergency Management Act 2007, held on May 30, 2025, at the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel.

We are proud to contribute to this important national dialogue, led by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), which aims to strengthen Samoa’s legal framework for disaster preparedness and emergency response. The consultation provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on lessons from recent emergencies and ensure our collective response mechanisms are robust, inclusive, and well-coordinated.
