52nd Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) Annual Conference – Waitangi, New Zealand
Commissioner of Police, Auapaau Logoitino Filipo, is attending the 52nd Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) Annual Conference at the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Samoa delegation includes Deputy Commissioner Leiataua Samuelu Afamasaga and Assistant Commissioner Papalii Efo. They were joined by Detective Superintendent Lefaoalii Aldora Mamaia, who is currently seconded to the PICP Secretariat in New Zealand as the Women’s Advisory Network Program Coordinator
This year’s conference theme, “Looking In, Looking Out, Looking Ahead”, reflects the launch of the PICP Strategic Plan 2025–2029, focusing on strengthening partnerships, addressing regional policing challenges, and building a safer, more secure Blue Pacific.
With the vision “Police Chiefs united for a secure Blue Pacific” and the mission of “empowering Chiefs to connect, collaborate, and lead Pacific Policing excellence”, the conference highlights the importance of unity, collaboration, and shared commitment among Pacific nations.
