DRUG BUST AT MATAUTU WHARF

    • On Wednesday 23 December, the Customs Border Unit, Police, and K9 seized more than $500,000 worth of Methamphetamine and Marijuana as part of the largest methamphetamine bust at our border in history.

This massive seizure is a clear indication of what law enforcement agencies can do when we combine forces. It prevented over half a million worth of deadly drugs from entering our country; thus saving countless lives from addiction and overdose deaths.

No arrests have been made so far, but an investigation into this matter is still on-going.
Smugglers will try every way possible to try and get their product into Samoa, but we will continue to work together to disrupt drug trafficking organizations at every opportunity.
